Chu-lin Senior High School was founded in 1968 by Madam Chu Ti-hua following her establishment of Chu-lin Kindergarten in 1956 and Chu-lin Elementary School in 1958.

Madam Chu sticks to her forefathers' faith that education is a promise of a nation's strength and prosperity. She also attaches importance to honesty, forgiveness and harmony in running school.

Currently, there are 29+ junior high classes and 29+ senior high classes,2000+ students and 145+ faculty members. With a total of the updated plans and outstanding management, with the concerted efforts and cooperation of the teachers and the students, the school walks steadily toward the success in gaining a fine reputation in the community.

Anyone who first comes to the school will surely be attracted by the magnificent Greek-style Student Activity Center standing tall among all other structures.

The school can boast of its modern educational facilities. With its multi-purpose language lab, the students can practice English speaking and listening skills, as well as take part in any kind of simulated test of GEPT.

With professional teachers in class, the students can learn computer skills well in the computer classroom. Undoubtedly the library housing tens of thousands of books including newspapers and magazines provides students an ideal place to obtain all kinds of knowledge and latest information.

It's worth mentioning that the school has a flourishing number of student clubs, such as English speaking club, folk dance club, dough-figurine making club, to name a few. The Department has three professional teachers who serve as counselors. In the Department, students are free to express their emotions or bring forth questions and suggestions in the presence of the counselor. Sooner or later things will all come right again.

Besides, the Department assists students to find out their diverse aptitudes after giving them a test, and help them to decide what will be their major in college.

The Department strives to keep up with the times and improve their skills in handling any kind of problem that falls upon them.

The school constantly offers room and stage to allow students to have the opportunity to display their talents in various fields. Those who have fine command of English are recommended to participate in English speech contest and English essay contest. The school is proud of them since most of them have made their outstanding achievement by winning first and second place or honorable mention in such contests in recent years.

Those who have rare talents in science, such as math, physics or chemistry also find room in showing their excellent performance. There are some students who win a prize in the computer programming.

After 4 decades of devotion and hard work, Chu-lin becomes one of the most prestigious schools in Taipei area as well as in New Taipei City. What began 50 years ago as a small-sized high school has now grown into an outstanding educational institution of more than 2500+ students and 145+ teachers and staff members.

With more and heavier responsibilities that we have to shoulder, we have no other alternative but to move right on. We maintain an optimistic attitude towards the future. We cherish what we have achieved, but we wish to accomplish more.
